D\u00fcnya Sava\u015f\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda ordunun top at\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131 hesaplamak i\u00e7in icat edilen \u201cENIAC\u201d isimli 30 tonluk tart\u0131s\u0131yla dev bir hesap makinesiydi. 1946\u2019da bu bilgisayar\u0131n imalinde da hissesi olan IBM, 1956\u2019da <em><strong>Bit<\/strong><\/em> ve <em><strong>Bayt<\/strong><\/em> kavram\u0131n\u0131 birinci kere ortaya att\u0131.\u00a0Bug\u00fcn bizler de farkl\u0131\u00a0<strong>evrak boyutlar\u0131<\/strong>\u00a0ifade etmek i\u00e7in\u00a0daha \u00e7ok bunlar\u0131n katlar\u0131 olan MB\u00a0(Megabayt), GB\u00a0(Gigabayt), TB\u00a0(Terabayt) \u00fczere kavramlar\u0131 kullan\u0131yoruz.<\/p>\n<p>Bit\u00a0ve\u00a0bayt\u00a0ile ba\u015flayan bu s\u00fcre\u00e7, s\u00fcratle geli\u015fen teknolojiyle birlikte ki\u015fisel\u00a0cihazlar\u0131m\u0131zdaki\u00a0depolama kapasitelerinin epeyce artmas\u0131na yol a\u00e7t\u0131.\u00a0Bug\u00fcn\u00a0her ne kadar devasa bilgisayar\u00a0ta\u015f\u0131masak da \u00e7abucak hepimizin kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131 ayg\u0131tlarda \u00e7ok\u00e7a data bulunuyor. Bu nedenle bilgileri merak edenler,\u00a0\u201c<strong>1 GB\u00a0ka\u00e7 MB\u00a0eder?<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0gibi sorular\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 merak ediyorlar. Yani 2\u00b9\u2070\u00a0baytt\u0131r. Bir sonraki bayt terimi i\u00e7in de \u00fczerindeki say\u0131ya 10 eklemeniz gerekir. Yani bir megabayt 2\u00b2\u2070 baytt\u0131r.\u00a0Bu da 1024 kilobayta e\u015fittir. Bilgisayarlar\u0131n s\u00fcrece sistemindeki en k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck yap\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131 ve temel k\u0131ymet \u00fcnitesidir. Bu bedel, bilgisayar lisan\u0131nda ikili bir pahad\u0131r.
